Water Lilies in Water Colors with So Suzy Stamps
Welcome to a new blog post for So Suzy Stamps. The new stamps were just released and I’m in love! Did you know that some of them were designed by our very own Olesya? Amazing, isn’t it?
Today I was in the mood for some water coloring, again 😛 These stamps just look so stunning in water colors. I started by coloring the blossom stamp with my Zig markers. After the stamp was really saturated I stamped directly onto the water color paper.
Because the Zig markers are water soluble, I was able to move the color with a water color brush.
I blended the stamped lines till all the petals were fully colored. Because the outlines were now very faded, I drew the outlines again to give the flower more depth.
To add even more dimension, I stamped the flower on some masking paper, covered the already colored blossom and stamped it again using the Zig markers as ink.
At the end I added water all around them to make them look like water lilies. I thought that the sentiment fit very well as well as the sparkle on the lightest flower 🙂
