Hello all, I just wanted to share three quick cards with you that I made by up-cycling Starbucks and Coffe Bean & Tea Leaf coffee mugs πŸ˜€

I used the biggest cup sizes and started with tearing them apart. Then I used my stitched rectangle die to create the card front. To remove the logos I ran through my die cut machine again using a circle die. As you can see, it didn’t fit perfectly, but I’m not worried about that.

I also picked three die cuts that I had laying around in my scrap box and colored them with Copic markers or Prismacolors. Because the cut out logos make perfect shaker cards, I decided to create one shaker card, one with a popped up panel and one with a flat layer.

I adhered acetate behind the hole and foam tape to the back to create the shaker panel. To keep the seauins from sticking to the foam tape, I prepared it with the powder tool.

Then I just adhered all the parts together, added some glitter here and there and was done with the project of up-cycling Starbucks coffee mugs to create three simple Christmas/ winter cards.

I’m not listing any supplies here as the main part are the coffee mugs and you can find them at any Starbucks or Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Then you just use what ever critters you have laying around, either free digital stamps like the ones from Jessa Feig or from any other stamp set that you might have πŸ˜‰

  1. What an awesome idea! Your cards are gorgeous. My favorite is the one with the reindeer. I never would’ve guessed in a million years that these are made from recycled coffee cups from Starbucks. Gorgeous!
