How to Create a Water Colored Bookmark with Strawberry Jude Stamps and Jane Davenport

Bookmarks using Strawberry Jude Stamps and Jane Davenport water colors

Welcome to my last guest project for Strawberry Jude Stamps. Today I decided to create a water colored bookmark using the gorgeous “Hello Sunflower” set and some new to me Jane Davenport water colors. I thought it might be more fun to watch me coloring this gorgeous sunflower than reading through a long description πŸ˜› So here it is. What do you think about my water colored bookmark? I thought the Jane Davenport water colors are really bright (hence the name πŸ˜› ). I love that the box is so small, so you can take it with you and not …

Sunflower growing on a wall

Ooooh, I can’t even. This gorgeous sunflower was just released by Strawberry Jude Stamps and I had to use the sunflower as a focal point on my card. So I grabbed my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and started coloring the sunflower. Now I just had to find the perfect background, which I found with the new BoBunny paper “Life in Color”. I created this video tutorial for you to show you how I created my card. I hope you enjoyed my quick and simple card using this beautiful sunflower stamp from Strawberry Jude Stamps. Exciting News: I’m Guest Designing for Strawberry Jude Stamps

Stacked Critters with Strawberry Jude Stamps, Distress Ink and Distress Oxide

I’m thrilled to share some news with you: I will be a guest designer for Strawberry Jude Stamps during the months of February and March πŸ™‚ I heard about this company when someone shared the Strawberry Layer stamp somewhere on Facebook (I’m a sucker for everything that has to do with strawberries…). Since then I have joined their super fun Facebook group and bought several other sets. Jeanette and Jewel did an amazing job with creating these stamps and sharing the love of crafting with all their fans. That’s why I was even more excited when they said yes to …

What Happens When You Put Paint on an Embossing Folder – CYCI #145

CYCI 145 Color Challenge

Wow, I’m in the middle of Creativation and between all this crazyness I felt experimental πŸ˜› If you want to check out pictures and videos live from CHA, check out my Instagram and Facebook account. I’m posting all the updates there. But now to my experiment. I saw a pin somewhere from someone using paint on an embossing folder and I remembered that I have like three laying around, unused. After grabbing the paints that fit to today’s CYCI challenge, I started spreading the paint onto my craft mat. I used a brayer to get the paint from the craft …

Googly Eyed Reindeer

Yay, it’s Can You Case It time again πŸ™‚ This challenge lasts for 3 weeks, so you have enough time throughout the Holidays to participate (winkwink). For challenge #143 we have a new sketch. I love sketches! Sometimes (and I think I’m not saying it for the first time…) I have a hard time figuring out how to position things n my card. Sketch challenges give me the opportunity to not think about that πŸ˜› Anyway, this sketch gives you so much options and I had this Christmas stamp set from Strawberry Jude in my head that I just had …

Where to go with the Christmas Tree?

collage

I’m joining the Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers challenge again. This time it’s U is for UFO and I had the perfect “UFO” laying around! I stamped this cute little bug filled with a Christmas tree a while ago, colored it, cut it out (thanks for my Scan’n’Cut!) and then never used it on a card. I think I used Copic markers to color the Stamping Bella image. There were some bleeding issues, but I covered all of that with my white gel pen. I wanted to keep it simple, so I masked the bottom part of my card base …
