Floral times 3 or how to create 3 cards using one background stamp

The Ton background stamp colored with Distress Oxide and Inks

Hi everyone and happy Thursday! Today’s project was inspired by my little grab bag that is sitting on my craft table. You might wonder what that grab bag is… Well, it’s actually a box now and it contains all the goodies that I have bought during the last months (yes, months…) and haven’t really used yet. So I decided to pick the sunflower background stamp from the Ton and get it all inky (like literally). I ended up with three floral cards, all a little different. I created all three at the same time and started with stamping the image …

Faux Shaker Card Inspired by Catherine Pooler

Faux Shaker Card

Hello there, I was in the mood for something different again and for some reason I’m kind of into mixing blue and oranges at the moment. I really enjoy this color combination. A few days ago Catherine Pooler had a contest for the latest Stamp of Approval collection on her blog, which made me grab it again to play with it. One of her inspirational cards was a faux shaker card and I thought that I want to CASE her idea. So I grabbed my Kat Scrappiness sequins, the Lovely Notes collection and started assembling the card. I started by …

Recollections Ombre Inks on a Thank You Card

Ombre Butterfly

Today, while I was cleaning my craft area, I realized that I haven’t made a card making video in forever. So I grabbed some items that I have a bought a few weeks ago and haven’t used yet: my two Recollections Ombre Inks. I got them on sale at Michael’s and was curious how these are, especially because I didn’t own an ombre ink pad so far, so the entire idea was new to me. I tried to find a link to these ink pads, but haven’t found them on the michaels.com website, sorry. Maybe they still have them in …

You Are Awesome – Quick Card Made From Scraps

Close Up

I just wanted to share a quick card with you that came together based on some scraps that were laying around on my desk. The colorful stripe is a left over from a project I will share with you soon (hint: it is an artjournal page using some June release stamps from So Suzy πŸ˜‰ ). I used way to much acrylic paint on said project so I grabbed some scraps and dunked them into the acrylic paint that was left on my craft mat. This stripe is one of the pieces and was now dry. So I cut it …

Two Yous From the Stamp of Approval Box

You SoA

A few weeks ago I bought the latest Stamp of Approval box and realized that I haven’t played a whole lot with it so far. That had to change! So I grabbed the stamps and dies and created two simple and fun cards. You One The first card is rather simple. I used the geo builder set (the reason why I wanted to have the box in the first place) and stamped the two arrow images in different blue tones. While switching the inks, I also switched the stamp. I started with Simon Says Lake Shores, switched to High Dive, …
