How to become a pirate with So Suzy Stamps

how to become a pirate with So Suzy Stamps

Arrrr, you land lovers! It’s inspiration day over at So Suzy Stamps and I grabbed one of the stamps that is back in the store – the pirate πŸ˜€ You probably know by now that I love the Distress Oxide, but what I love even more is the combination of Distress Ink and Oxide. It’s the mix of vibrancy and rusty that really gets me πŸ˜› That’s why I created a set of cards for you using both, Distress Inks and Oxides, water and some acetate. Enjoy! I hope you enjoyed my cards and are not mad that I didn’t …

Snarky cards with So Suzy Stamps

Snark alert! I haven’t used my snarky stamps for a while (way too long if you ask me), so I directly created three snarky cards πŸ˜€ A few days ago I found a pretty paper pack at a garage sale. I love combining patterned paper to create cards, especially snarky ones. I started with cutting a few of the papers. Then I picked the ones that I wanted to be at the top and stamped the sentiment using my Misti. For this card, I cut a little banner to stamp one part of the sentiment onto it. Then I stamped …

There were a lot of entries and a few of mine made it into this release πŸ˜€ Anyway, I wanted to share a couple of them with you. I started with two cards, but couldn’t stop. Throw on a Crown for Snark Madness

So Suzy Stamps on a wood panel Close Up

Hello, is it me you’re looking for *sing* πŸ˜› LMAO, I love my snarky mood swings. Welcome to Snark Madness, aka a new snarky project, this time a mixed media piece on a wood panel. I was at a local art store not too long ago and picked some of them up. I started by applying two layers of clear Gesso to the wood panel and picking my colors for the background. I decided to go with a yellow, orange, red theme, so I applied a thick layer of yellow paint first. While the yellow was still somewhat wet, I …

Anti Valentines Card with So Suzy Stamps, Distress Inks and Distress Oxide

Happy Valentine’s Day! Are you celebrating or do you think that it is one of those unnecessary days? Fair warning upfront: I’m not huge on Valentine’s day, so I decided to create a rather snarky anti-valentine’s card. I found a great sentiment at So Suzy Stamps that fit to my “love” for Valentine’s day, so I grabbed my masking paper and Distress Inks and started blending some ink. A video might be nicer for you to see the process, so I created one vs writing a long love letter πŸ˜‰ Again, I understand that not everyone shares my humor. I …

throw on a crown

New yhear, new challenges. Welcome to the Can You Case It challenge #144 using the colors Aqua and Watermelon. Because we are currently celebrating Snarkfest in the Snarky Stampers Facebook group (feel free to join πŸ˜‰ ), I wanted to create a silly card. The colors are perfect for my new gummy bear stamp set, so I went with three of them and I chose the “Throw on a crown” stamp from So Suzy Stamps. I started by stamping the three bears onto vellum, fuzzy cutting them and coloring them with Copics from the back. That gave them a more …

Where to go with the Christmas Tree?

collage

I’m joining the Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers challenge again. This time it’s U is for UFO and I had the perfect “UFO” laying around! I stamped this cute little bug filled with a Christmas tree a while ago, colored it, cut it out (thanks for my Scan’n’Cut!) and then never used it on a card. I think I used Copic markers to color the Stamping Bella image. There were some bleeding issues, but I covered all of that with my white gel pen. I wanted to keep it simple, so I masked the bottom part of my card base …
