Colored Ink Comparison – For All Who Need More Color in Their Life

Colored Ink Comparison

What a beautiful Sunday here in SoCal. The sun is shining and it’s warm again. So what would be better than to get the colors out. I finally made some time and swatched all my inks (Jennifer McGuire style). While I was stamping one ink after another, I was wondering which manufacturer is good for sentiments, which one for plain areas, and so on. So I stamped and blended one color from every manufacturer I own and made a video for you (and me of course… I was curious as well πŸ™‚ ). Colored Ink Comparison These are the inks …

Snow Globe Shaker Card from the North Pole

PolarBear

Because I have bought so many stamp sets during the last weeks, I wanted to make sure that I’m starting to use them. To remember which ones I’ve already stamped with and which ones still have to be used I separated my stamps into two stashes. And today I picked the ‘Cool Day’ Polar Bears from MFT to switch them from the ‘unused’ to the ‘used’ stash. The Layout idea is from the current MFT Sketch Challenge #241 and to be honest, I had a hard time with this one. Snow Globe Process First of all I stamped and colored …

For the background I used the orange card stock from the Simon Says Stamp August card kit. The white cardstock is slightly smaller than the orange one and adhered with foam tape. Before I pressed it down, I wrapped some American Crafts twine around it. …

My entry for the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge – Sketch 239

mft wednesday challenge - gnome 1

Today I wanted to share my card that I designed for the latest MFT Wednesday sketch challenge. It’s a gnome πŸ™‚ and a cute one! I used the jumping gnome and the mushroom from the MFT ‘You gnome me’ set and colored both with copics. For the gnome shimmer I added a little wink of stella to the beard. The word ‘cheers’ is from the Paper Smooches ‘Birthday word dies’. I cut it out twice. First from some blue cardstock that I also used for the card base. The second die cut is from a scrap piece that I used …

Way too much fun with MFT stamps and stencils

MFT stamps color challenge No 26 - 1

There has to be a first, always. And today it’s the first time sharing a card that I intentionally made for a challenge. Today I’m playing along with the MFT stamps color challenge no. 26 and the Crafting by Design Summer Holidays challenge. The Background I started with preparing my shoe box to ‘color burst’ the background. To get the resist effect, I used the MFT Stencil Diagonal Bars on Canson XL watercolor paper. Than I squirtd some Ken Oliver color bursts on the background and misted everything carefully with water. To create the sun dawn effect, I used the …
