Video: Snarky Halloween Card – The Mighty Witch Dog

The mighty Witch Dog

I found a very neat challenge blog and just had to join! It’s called the “Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers” and the challenge is “P for Pink Halloween”. First of all, I love being snarky and if you haven’t figured yet, I’m addicted to the snarky stamps from So Suzy Stamps, so this challenge was perfect. Second, I love Halloween and really like the idea of the combination with cancer awareness month. I’m trying to use stamps that I recently bought, but haven’t used as much. So I grabbed the Crazy Dogs stamp and thought that the dog would look really …

Happy Halloween Card with Kat Scrappiness

Happy Halloween with Kat

Welcome to my first blog article with the Kat Scrappiness Design Team. To say I’m thrilled would be an understatement. I love her shop and everything she does for us crafters! So let’s get started, shall we? I wanted to create a rather simple Halloween card with Kat Scrappiness sequins being the focus. So I decided to keep the background settled. I cut a piece of black card stock (5.5″x4″), two stripes from last years Lawn Fawn paper pack and the Happy Halloween sentiment from the Cheery Lynn die. Now I dipped the sentiment into the Versamark ink pad, sprinkled …

Scary Bookmarks That Will Keep You up at Night

Hello everyone, I hope you have a spooky day πŸ™‚ With all the amazing So Suzy Halloween stamps I had a hard time to decide which one to use for today’s Design Team post. First, I stamped the “Trick or Treat” sentiment using Versamark ink. Then I grabbed the Boo, 31st, and Shade stamp and created a background pattern (I might have CASE’d the idea with the legs from …

Hello everyone and welcome to another amazing challenge over at the Can You Case It! blog for challenge #130. This week it’s all about birthday card and mine had to glitter! Now I stamped the music note background onto my white card stock using Versamark ink. I found this background stamp at a garage sale and assume it’s the one from MFT. Then …

It Was Not My Lips You Kissed, But My Soul.

its not my lips you kissed

Hello, I’m up on the So Suzy Blog with a new Design Team card, woohoo! I created a similar card for the birthday of my Design Team friend Olesya last month and thought that you might enjoy it. This one doesn’t use a birthday greeting though, but the beautiful sentiment “It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul.” from Judy Garland. I started by heat embossing the Blowing Butterfly Tree. Now I blended four Distress ink colors over the entire card panel. I went back and forth with the colors a couple of times till I had the …

Some Bunny Loves You – Night Sky Using Distress Inks

Night Sky in Water Colors

Today’s card is featuring a technique that I saw in a few videos and images over the last couple of months, but I have never tried it before: Creating a night sky using Distress Inks. I started with die cutting a white piece of card stock and stamping the moon from the Altenew “To The Moon” set in the upper half using Lawn Fawn’s new butter ink. Now I stamped the moon again onto masking paper, cut out the mask and covered the moon on the card stock entirely. For the night sky I started with blending Blueprint Sketch all …

I’m Stuck On You – Lawn Fawn in Water Colors

Stuck Lawn Fawn

As you might have seen in my latest posts, I am in a water color mood. So I was going through my stamps and was trying to find a different set that could be used with water colors. It just took a few flips through my stash to find this Lawn Fawn set. I started with stamping the two cactus (cacti? cactuses?) on watercolor paper. Next I stamped the sentiment using Versamark ink and heat embossed it with silver Wow embossing powder. For the background, I used three different shades of green from the zig clean color real brush markers …
