The Stencilfied Journal Prompt 7 – Rip up a Page

Stencilfied Journal Prompt 7

Hi everyone, welcome to prompt number 7 of The Stencilfied Journal 🙂 I know, I’m a little late with this one, but we are renovating our house and that kept me quite busy. To show you how sorry I am, I thought I make it a video this time. Is that okay? 😉 This weeks prompt was to rip up a page and glue it back into the art journal. When I first read it I was shocked. How could I rip up a page that I just decorated? But after a while I calmed down. Isn’t that exactly what …

We always think we’ll have time with Visible Image

we always think we'll have time with visible image

Yay, I’m back with a new project for Visible Image. I’m super excited to be finally working with some of the new stencils and the somewhere in time stamp. Unfortunately my camera didn’t record, so there won’t be a video for this art journal page. I’m sorry 🙁 I started by spreading just a little bit of Dylusions paint onto my art journal page. I just wanted to cover the middle of the page a little. Then I added the same shades first through the “Collision” stencil and then through the “Count me in” stencil. I liked the background stamp …

Imagine the possibilities with Visible Image

Imagine the possibilities with Visible Image

Hi everyone and welcome to a new blog post for Visible Image. This time I’m sharing a bright and grungy little canvas with you. I used the ink splats stamp for the background and the Imagine, Dream, Inspire for my focal point. Everything in between is some messy fun with smearing around Dylusions paints 😉 You can follow my steps by watching my quick video tutorial here: Super easy, don’t you think? It’s definitely a lot of fun to create those smaller canvases and they are perfect for a little decoration, for example in your bookshelf. Thanks for stopping by! …

She wears her smile as a disguise – art journal page with Visible Image

She wears her smile as a disguise art journal page

Woohoo, I received a new package from Visible Image and just had to play with some of the new to me stamps. One of them was the she wears her smile as a disguise sentiment that just resonated with me. Those types of sayings allow me to get my creative thoughts flowing in a totally different way and usually I’m really surprised with the end result. Same here. That art journal page turned out very differently than I originally thought and I think it fits to that sentiment very well. First off, I created the background. This is actually a …

Never stop being curious – An art journal page using Visible Image

Never stop being curious

Welcome back! You know me, I love trying new things and am usually rather relaxed about the outcome. This art journal page definitely went through a try and error process before it ended up looking better. In today’s video I’m sharing my journey with this page. The title actually fits really well, because if you never stop being curious, you will create amazing art. This journal page is using some of the new Visible Image stamps. One of them is the “Create your own Calm” sea horse, which needed to be a focal point. I combined it with the Fibres …

Deflecto Guest Post for Valentine’s Day

Deflecto Guest Post for Valentine's Day

I’m super excited to be guest designing for Deflecto again. February is all about Valentine’s Day and I created a very pink frame insert. I’m not a “pink person”, but I enjoyed creating this insert for the Craft Frame in pink. The good thing about is that a portion of Deflecto’s pink product proceeds go to the fight against breast cancer. To see how everything came together, check out my video: I used a candle to lighten up the negatives, but you could use a light string or one of those LED lights. It’s a really neat effect when the …

The Smile is the Key for StencilClub Voices January

Smile is the Key Canvas for StencilClub Voices

One of the things that I really enjoyed throughout 2018 was my membership of StencilClub. This is a monthly subscription where you get three StencilGirl stencils – all exclusive for the club. One part of it is the membership of a secret Facebook group. Super supportive folks there and it’s so much fun to see all the projects that everyone is creating with their monthly stencils. Another perk is the chance to be part of the StencilClub Voices. That means a few members get randomly selected to share their work using the monthly stencils. We get early access too 😉 …

Let your dreams take flight art journal page with So Suzy Stamps

Let your dreams take flight art journal page with So Suzy Stamps

Oooph, this is not an easy post for me. It’s my last design team post for So Suzy Stamps. The reason is that my actual work needs a little more attention going forward (all good things!!!) and you might have already noticed that I was quieter than usual the last few weeks. Thanks to all of you who send me a message and asked if I’m alright 🙂 –> That’s why I love the crafty community so much! The good thing is that I will continue using stamps from my favorite stamp company, I just won’t share my projects on …

How to create an Angel Canvas with Emerald Creek embossing powders

Angel Canvas with Emerald Creek

I’m up on the Emerald Creek blog again as a guest designer. Today I prepared a slightly larger project using Emerald Creek embossing powder. I already was in love with them, but after I finished this project I am even more. Because this project is a little larger than my usual projects, I took a few more photos. You can click on them to enlarge them. I started by painting the ocean. Next up, the sunset. The first layer was just about getting paint onto the canvas. Second color, but no blending yet. I added the third color on top, …
