Strawberry Jude Stamps with Distress Inks, blended with Clarity Stencil brushes

Hi and welcome back to another card using Strawberry Jude Stamps. This time I wanted to show you how you can use Christmas stamps all year long. Well, at least parts of it πŸ˜› Therefore I’m using the Tag it: Christmas and the Love is in the air set, plus my Distress Inks and a stencil from Clarity stencils. Again, I prepared a short video for you. I hope you enjoy it πŸ™‚ I think that this card is perfect to be sent whenever, for example for your husband, a good friend, maybe even a baby announcement? (No worries, I …

Video: Snarky Anti-Valentine’s Card with So Suzy Stamps

Anti Valentines Card with So Suzy Stamps, Distress Inks and Distress Oxide

Happy Valentine’s Day! Are you celebrating or do you think that it is one of those unnecessary days? Fair warning upfront: I’m not huge on Valentine’s day, so I decided to create a rather snarky anti-valentine’s card. I found a great sentiment at So Suzy Stamps that fit to my “love” for Valentine’s day, so I grabbed my masking paper and Distress Inks and started blending some ink. A video might be nicer for you to see the process, so I created one vs writing a long love letter πŸ˜‰ Again, I understand that not everyone shares my humor. I …

I have to say good bye, good bye to a great team and an amazing experience. This is my last post for the Kat Scrappiness Design Team. The half year is already over. Sometimes it’s scary how fast time passes by. This card just had to be a thank you card for Kat and Deb. Thanks to them I was allowed to join a great team and share my love for katscrappiness.com with you. I thought that a little word game might be funny, so I used a scrappy cat stamp for the Kat Scrappiness thank you card πŸ˜› As …

I’m thrilled to share some news with you: I will be a guest designer for Strawberry Jude Stamps during the months of February and March πŸ™‚ I heard about this company when someone shared the Strawberry Layer stamp somewhere on Facebook (I’m a sucker for everything that has to do with strawberries…). Hi and welcome to my Distress Oxide vs Distress Ink comparison. If you followed crafty news throughout the last week you probably have seen the big announcement from Tim Holtz: Distress Oxide. Besides just showing what they can do I wanted to compare Distress Oxide vs Distress Ink so you get a better …

Creating Traditional Valentines Cards Using Kat Scrappiness Layered Hearts

Layered Hearts

Have you seen the new release from Kat Scrappiness yet? She has some great new shapes and double stitched heart dies. But I think it’s easier to show you how a card using these dies looks like. That’s why I created two layered hearts cards πŸ˜‰ I started by grabbing a regular white piece of card stock and running it through my die cut machine with the largest of the new Stitched Fancy Scalloped Rectangle Dies. I also used the second largest of the Double Stitched Heart Dies to cut a heart shape from masking paper. Now I added the …

Magical Fairy Cards lets you Believe in Yourself

believe

Hi, I’m back for Kat Scrappiness and I have the cutest fairy stamp to share with you. At least I think it’s a fairy with her elegant posture and the puffy skirt. And I wanted to let her swing from something, so what is better than a sentiment die cut πŸ˜› I started by die cutting the base of the card, the sentiment and a doily as the ground for the fairy. I decided to die cut a second doily and colored them with Distress Inks. It creates the perfect magical background for the little fairy, don’t you think? Then …

Wow, it’s already November… can you believe it? Thanksgiving is around the corner so better get these cards out the door πŸ˜‰ Today I wanted to share a one layer Thanksgiving card with you highlighting a new sentiment die from Kat Scrappiness: Thankful for you. It was so much fun to create this card! It’s simple but looks so stunning at the end.
