Can Winter be Over Already?

Can winter be over already

Happy New Year everyone! I’m sorry that I didn’t write anything the last weeks, but my hubby and I were busy moving. We bought a house at the end of the year and after a long, stressful journey with the bank we finally moved on December 23rd. You can imagine that our Christmas was filled with unpacking and getting everything setup. But I’m back and my New Years resolution is to be more crafty πŸ™‚ I have no idea how to proof at the end that I was, but just lets get started with my first card for 2016. Who …

Four Christmas Tags and One Card

Christmas Tags

Well hello there! Today is one of those days where I actually didn’t feel the urge to craft something. But I decided to just sit on my desk and do something. And here is what came out of it: A lot of Christmas Tags πŸ™‚ Tag One I started with a simple Hanukkah gift tag. I used Lawn Fawn’s “I love you a Latke” and colored it with Copic’s. Tag Two The second tag is featuring the bear from Greeting Farm “Let it Snow”. Again, I simply stamped the bear and colored it with Copic’s (the shadow inside the bear …

Quick Hanukkah Card for a White Elephant gift exchange

Hanukkah Card

Today I’d like to share a quick Hanukkah Card with you that is part of a White Elephant gift exchange at work. I used the new Lawn Fawn stamp set Love you a Latke that I got during a Black Friday Sale on Hallmarkscrapbook.com. I stamped the Menorah with Versamark Ink on some watercolor paper and heat embossed it with Wow Silver Metallic embossing powder. Now I used a Zig Clean Color Real Brush in the color Cobalt Blue and colored around the embossing. To get the watercolor look, I added a lot of water to it, turned the paper …

1st Try Molotow Masking Pen on Watercolor Paper

Scare Crow in Pumpkin Patch

Hello and welcome back. Today I have another review of a new product (at least for me). Soooo many people are talking about the Molotow masking pen and today I finally used it. I got it at Hobby Lobby with their 40% off coupon (still kind of pricey). I wanted to create a pumpkin patch. Even though Halloween already passed, we still have fall πŸ˜‰ I checked some “How-To’s” and started stamping the pumpkins on Ranger water color paper using Memento black dye-ink. I learned that I had to stamp the top images first, mask them and stamp the next …

Review: Making a Shaker Card with the Fuse Tool

2nd Fuse Tool card

Hi everybody, in my last post I promised a review for the fuse tool and the Minc toner ink pen. Today I will tell you more about the fuse tool. I bought the Project Life version at Michael’s with a 50% coupon, but from what I understand it’s exactly the same as the one from We R Memory Keepers. Here the two cards I made so far: How to operate the Fuse Tool The Fuse Tool just needs power and a little time to heat up. As soon as the tip is hot enough you can run it over acetate …

Halloween Card with Mama Elephant Kittens

Halloween Card

Today I’d like to share a Halloween card with you that I made a few days ago. But I made it for a friend, so I had to wait till she received it πŸ™‚ This card is highlighting both Mama Elephant Meowlloween stamp sets (Meowlloween and Meowlloween Extras) and some pumpkins from the Moonlight set from Winnie & Walter. For the background I used distress inks and the starry background die from WPlus9. First I colored the background with the distress inks wilted violet, hickory smoke, and blueprint sketch. While that was drying, I cut some paper using Lawn Fawn’s …

Card challenges, all I see is card challenges :)

Card Challenge 1

Today’s card is made for not one card challenge, but two πŸ˜‰ 1) MFT’s Wednesday Sketch Challenge – Sketch 240 2) And Simon Says Wednesday Tie It Up Challenge The card is using 4 sheets of Amy Tangerine’s “Ready Set Go” 6×6 paper pad and the “You Gnome Me” stamp and die set from MFT. For the background I used the orange card stock from the Simon Says Stamp August card kit. The white cardstock is slightly smaller than the orange one and adhered with foam tape. Before I pressed it down, I wrapped some American Crafts twine around it. …

Way too much fun with MFT stamps and stencils

MFT stamps color challenge No 26 - 1

There has to be a first, always. And today it’s the first time sharing a card that I intentionally made for a challenge. Today I’m playing along with the MFT stamps color challenge no. 26 and the Crafting by Design Summer Holidays challenge. The Background I started with preparing my shoe box to ‘color burst’ the background. To get the resist effect, I used the MFT Stencil Diagonal Bars on Canson XL watercolor paper. Than I squirtd some Ken Oliver color bursts on the background and misted everything carefully with water. To create the sun dawn effect, I used the …
