It’s the first day of the month and what are we usually doing? Exactly, getting the entire Design Team together and creating some amazing cards. It’s like a big, crafty party with all of you 😛
The links to all the other Design Team cards are listed here. You don’t want to miss them.
February is the month of masking and I wanted to create a card for someone special that can be used as a Valentines card, but can also be send out for other occasions. My mask is rather simple. I just die cut a small square out of a sheet of Inkadinkado masking paper and placed it on top of my card base. Now I blended Distress Inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey and Abandoned Coral through the opening.
After removing the mask, I added the fairy. To ensure a crisp image, I used my Mini Misti and stamped her 3 times. Fairies have to sparkle, right? So I brushed some Spectrum Sparkle in clear on top of the fairy.
The sentiment that I chose for my card was too big for the front, so I decided to stamp it to the inside of my card. I just love the font!
But I thought it is too naked, so I decided to doodle a little bit. Nothing fancy, just a frame and some circles 😛
At the end I just adhered the front to some black card stock (1/4″ wider) and added both to the card base.
Don’t forget to check out the other cards from the So Suzy Design Team. They all made a card for someone special and they are just amazing!!!
