Have a Sweet Christmas with Shimmering Ornaments

shimmering ornamentsHello there, welcome to another blog post for So Suzy Stamps. This is the last one for 2016… this year was over fast, sigh.

Because Christmas is approaching rather fast, I wanted to prepare a cute Christmas card for you and So Suzy’s ornament stamps are perfect for that!

I started by die cutting a piece of white card stock with a square, stitched die. Then I stamped the three ornaments using the Simply Sinful ink, also from So Suzy Stamps. Now I stamped a second time with Versamark ink, so I was able to heat emboss it with the Nuvo Shimmering Pearl embossing powder. This is so gorgeous! The heating up makes it transparent, so just the shimmer stays πŸ™‚

Now I grabbed some Christmas colored twine, tied three little bows and adhered them to the ornaments. I wrapped the twine around the paper and used scotch tape to fixate them at the back.

Before I adhered the bows, I adhered the twine to the front and then the bows on top. Now I added foam tape to the back, adhered it to some random, patterned paper and adhered both to the front of the card base.

The only thing missing was the sentiment. This time I wanted to decorate the inside. I rarely do that, but that sentiment is so amazing, it needed a special place on the card πŸ™‚

To merge the theme of the front to the inside, I added another ornament with a drawn line for the hanger. Btw, the measurements on that ruler are in cm πŸ˜‰

Here is the inside in it’s entire beauty πŸ™‚ I’m kind of hungry for cookie dough now… I don’t know why…
