Hi everyone. You might have seen that the name of my blog changed a bit. I wanted to combine the projects I share for my store The Maker Deli with all my other projects and have just one website for all the fun.
Speaking of fun, I received some new stamps from Catherine Pooler for the store and finally, I had some time to play with one set of them. It had a great bible verse, so I finally decided to start journaling in my bible.
To prepare the journaling part of the page, I used Golden Absorbent Ground. Just a thin layer and it dries really quick.
Once the page was dry, I colored the main image from the Take Courage stamp using watercolor markers.
I pressed it firmly onto the page.
And then went over the outline using a thin water brush. I was rather careful to not blend the ink too much.
At the end, I added one of the sentiment to the page, stamped in grey ink.
And that was it. Super simple, yet stunning image thanks to the fun Take Courage stamp set.
Even if you don’t journal in a bible, you can use the same technique for a card, an art journal spread or a bookmark. Watercoloring is so easy with this technique.
Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to check out my store and see what other new stuff arrived.
