A Fairy Tale Behind The Rainbow

A Fairy Tale Behind the Rainbow

Welcome to the So Suzy Butterfly Music stamp special. All the Design Team members created stunning cards for this stamp and I hope that you’re going to check out all of them. You might have an idea overload afterwards, but I bet you can channel the energy to create your own amazing card using this stamp. It’s just too gorgeous to pass up πŸ˜‰ I had to pair it with the quote from Hans Christian Andersen. Even though the quote “Where words fail, music speaks” from Hans Christian Andersen is not from one of his fairy tales, I remember some …

Video: My Top 5 Craft Supplies for Card Making

Hello everyone πŸ™‚ Today I wanted to share something different with you, not a card or art journal page, but my top 5 craft supplies for card making. Some of them are new to me, but they totally changed the way I use other products with them or craft in general. Others are great helpers for nearly every card I make. I don’t want to bore you to death with useless chatter at the beginning, so let’s dive right in πŸ™‚ Number 1 – Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen I started out with the Wink of Stella brushes and then discovered …

Spooky Halloween Art Journal Page

Spooky Halloween

Welcome back to my blog πŸ™‚ The last week was a little hectic at work (yay!!! It was way to boring before that πŸ˜› ), so I just had a little time to craft every evening. That was perfect for this page as several things needed to dry over night. It’s a little harder for me to describe how I created this spooky Halloween page. I tried a lot of things, sprayed some ink here and smeared some paint there and at the end, this is what it looked like. So, I’m sorry for the lack of instructions this time …

Stretch Your Dies And Add A Ghost

the card

Hello everyone! I’m up at the Kat Scrappiness blog with another Halloween card. To change things up a little, I used a non-Halloween sentiment to show you how you could stretch your dies too πŸ™‚ I started by die-cutting the white background piece and some black card stock with Kat’s rope die and added the Lawn Fawn house border to the black piece. Now I die-cut a mask for the moon and adhered it to the white background piece. I blended Wilted Violet and Seedless Preserves Distress Ink back and forth till I had the coverage that I wanted. After …

Snarktoberfest #2 – Snarky Bookmarks Anyone?

Happy Snarktoberfest πŸ˜› I can’t help it, but I need these little giggling moments. Humor is so important, as is not taking things too serious every now and then. Let’s embrace the humor, fun and snark in us and celebrate Snarktoberfest πŸ˜› These easy and snarky bookmarks were created within a few minutes. I started by applying alcohol ink to the background paper. If you have never used alcohol inks before I highly recommend the starter kit that you can get at Amazon or any of the big box stores. It comes with three colors, blending solution and a metallic …

Bewitched Halloween Art Journal Page

close up 4

Hello πŸ™‚ I was in the mood to decorate one of the art journal pages that I created during my Dylusions Art Journal series (All the videos and the giveaway can be found here). As it’s still time to create a bunch of Halloween stuff, I had to create a Halloween art journal page πŸ™‚ I remembered to turn on the camera to film the process. That’s so much easier than writing every step down πŸ˜› I hope you’ll enjoy my video: Unfortunately my camera stopped recording during the last minute so the video stops before I was finished with …

Snarktoberfest #1 – Still Time for Halloween

snarktoberfest

Happy Snarktoberfest everyone! I just made that up, but with all the snarky stamps that I bought just recently, I thought that we need a festivity for that πŸ˜› It’s still enough time for Halloween, so I started the Snarktoberfest with a very snarky Halloween card. The focus is (of course) the So Suzy Stamps sentiment “Halloween is the safest day to kill a person and leave them in a chair on your front porch.”. I thought that this one is just hilarious πŸ™‚ I started by die-cutting a piece of water color card stock and stamping the sentiment with …

Live Like There Is No Midnight – So Suzy Stamps Release

midnight

Hello there! It’s release day over at So Suzy Stamps and we have all sorts of great Fall themed stamps and sentiments. The No Midnight sentiment that I want to highlight today can be used for any occasion though. I started by cutting two pieces of black card stock and sponging white pigment ink through a star stencil. When I want to put ink through a stencil I like using a makeup sponge. Pigment ink needs to dry a little and that’s the reason why I rarely use it πŸ˜‰ After the ink was dry I took one of the …

Not For Easily Scared Readers – Spooky Halloween with So Suzy Stamps

Contagion

Happy Halloween everyone! I’m up on the So Suzy blog and wanted to share a simple but spooky Halloween card with you πŸ™‚ I started by cutting a black piece of card stock and preparing it with the anti-static tool. Then I stamped the Contagion stamp using Versamark ink and sprinkled white embossing powder on top. I use the Michael’s brand and love it! Tipp: to remove the white access from the anti-static tool that is especially visible on black paper, use a regular eraser and carefully “erase” the powder. The card was too black for my liking, so I …
