Emerald Creek embossing powder and Distress Oxide on a mixed media tagI have some exciting news for you: I’m now part of the Emerald Creek design team πŸ˜€ I’m super excited about that! The first time I heard about Emerald Creek was at Creativation when I took a quick class at their booth. I was stoked and I just had to ask her for a guest design opportunity. Since then I joined her for two guest posts and when a spot opened up at the design team, Kim asked me to join her. And here I am πŸ™‚

The great thing is that you can benefit from this as well. Emerald Creek has a monthly challenge over at their blog where one person can win a $50 coupon to their store. This month’s challenge is “Anything goes”, so an easy one for you to jump in πŸ˜‰

My project for the anything goes challenge is a mixed media tag. I used Distress Oxide and my first Emerald Creek stamps (yes, a little nostalgic πŸ˜‰ ). I thought that you might enjoy a video tutorial:

I’m still amazed with the possibilities you have with the Distress Oxide. It’s so much fun to use them for all these different types of projects. I hope you enjoyed this little mixed media tag. Don’t forget to check out the Emerald Creek blog for more inspiration from the design team (spoiler: they are incredible…) and for joining the monthly challenge.
