Stamp of Approval Love is in the Air Blog Hop

Hello there, are you excited? I know I am. It’s Stamp of Approval time again, yippieh 🙂

The newest collection is called Love is in the Air and it is full of awesome adventure themed stamps and dies. Today’s blog hop is showing off some of the goodness that is waiting for you in just a few days. Are you prepared? If not, better sign up for the waitlist, so you know when it’s time to shop. The public release is on January 9th at 6pm EST, but sign up for an early note *winkwink*.
SoA Wait List

In case you don’t know what Stamp of Approval is, let me explain that real quick. Stamp of Approval is a quarterly collection full of stamps and dies that are exclusive for every release. All the goodies inside it are designed for this collection and are matching perfectly. If the collection is sold out you have to wait a couple of months before you can buy it in Catherine’s store and the SoA releases usually sell out fast 😉

But now on to my projects. I created two cards for today’s blog hop. A few more are waiting for you on the release day.

Card one is an ink smooshing beauty. I used the CP inks to create the water color effect in the background and then stamped the world on top. I added a few more swirls all around it, stamped with the same CP ink colors. To emphasize some parts of the world a little more, I colored them in using Posca acrylic paint pens. Then I die cut it with the largest stamp die and adhered it onto a piece of black card stock and both onto a card base.

All that was missing was a sentiment, so I added it to the inside including a few more of the swirls.

Card number 2 started with some ink smooshing as well, but instead of water color paper I used the CP premium white card stock. After I was done with the colors, I added a few patterns using several of the Stamp of Approval stamps. Then I stamped a sentiment onto a piece of vellum and wrapped it around the card front. I added two of the balloons and adhered it onto a grey piece of card stock that I die cut using the largest stamp die before.

  154. Really love the first card…. So many times I either forget about placement of images and don’t leave enough space for a sentiment. Or I don’t want to cover up what I spent so much time working on. The card feels “naked” until you reveal an awesome sentiment on the inside. Beautiful color combinations.
