Welcome to a blog hop, just for fun. Ingrid pulled together a few crafters and asked us to create with “new” craft supplies, the ones that have been laying around for a while now, unused. And you know what I haven’t done in a while? Creating clean and simple cards, without any mess. Ok, there was a little mess involved when I inked up a background, but way less than normally 😉
I bought some of the stamps from Finders Keepers a while back. I discovered them at Creativation and fell in love with the very different designs and sentiments. When I finally got my hands on their stamps, I put them aside, because I didn’t have time to actually play with them. Don’t we all have supplies like that? That’s why I was super excited about Ingrid’s idea and started playing with their stamps in combination with my favorite inks from Catherine Pooler.
I started by creating several backgrounds with the “Subtext” stamp set. It’s not big enough for a full card size, so I stamped it three times next to each other.
For the card with the raven on the front, I also added a sentiment to the inside. Now it says “Nevermore” on the front and “Maybe just one more” on the inside.
At the end I needed some backgrounds in the same colors, so I decided to create them myself by spreading the same ink onto the borders of a new piece of cardstock and then adhered the Mischief Maker on top.
