Father's Day wood panel with Emerald CreekHi everyone, I’m so excited about this post. Kim, the owner of Emerald Creek, contacted me and asked me if I want to create another project using her unique stamps and incredible embossing powders. Well, heck yeah! So here I am, sharing a Father’s Day wood panel with you. I used several embossing powders to create all the texture and love how it turned out. These powders always surprise me when they melt.

But instead of describing the effects, I prepared a video for you showing all the details. Be prepared for some jaw dropping moments ๐Ÿ˜›

For all you Canadian folks, Emerald Creek is located in Canada. Woohoo! But the shipping to the US is not bad either. My supplies always arrived super fast. Don’t forget to visit Kim at www.emeraldcreek.org and send her greetings from me ๐Ÿ™‚

Girl you are the Multi-Media QUEEN. Loved your comment on โ€œno technique involved.โ€ Although there are many techniques to โ€œartโ€ I think sometimes newbies like myself get to hung up on being good at technique. Itโ€™s always refreshing to see someone just DO IT without too much concern about following a guideline. Love the idea of the makeup sponge to emboss from a stencil. Was looking for a way to do that. I donโ€™t have makeup sponges (love the โ€œaged naturalโ€ look I have now) but Iโ€™ll give an extra Holtz dobber a try. Checked out the Emerald Creek site. So many cool and innovative products there and loads of inspiring ideas. Thank you again HolyLise for your time, talent, generosity and inspiration.

    • Ha! You’re hilarious, Eileen! There are so many more options than makeup sponges for blending. I just got a big set from Amazon. Not too expensive ๐Ÿ˜‰
I’m not good with following rules and I enjoy this type of art because I can just do what I want. It helps me relax and shut off my brain for a while. And the good thing is, you can’t do anything wrong! If you don’t like it, you just cover it with Gesso ๐Ÿ˜€
      Sending you big hugs!
