So Suzy Stamps art journal page made with Distress Oxide and a little imagination
Oooooh, I had a little fun with Distress Oxide and So Suzy Stamps this weekend. I was in a play mood and came up with this colorful Spring page.

After I picked up the Distress Oxides in my local craft store, I just had to break them open and create some beautiful backgrounds. I smooshed the ink onto my craft mat, spritzed some water on top and then dragged several tags through it. After they were dry, I repeated these steps till I had the texture I wanted. When I was done with the tags, I spotted my art journal and did the same thing to create a background page.

I wanted the Distress Oxide background to stand out, so I just die cut some flowers from black card stock and adhered them to the page.

The “World of reality” sentiment was the perfect fit. To make it pop a little more, I outlined it it with a white gel pen.

But I wasn’t done yet. I stamped two butterflies using clear embossing powder and water colored them with the Oxides. That added a very light hue to them, very fairy like πŸ˜›

Now I adhered them onto the page and was happy. I really enjoy the oxides, because they are bright but not too much. The chalky finish is exactly what I like. And after all, Distress Oxide and So Suzy Stamps are the perfect match πŸ˜€
