Coffee Lover Blog Hop
Hello everyone πŸ™‚

Who wants some coffee? Too bad, I just have a cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream πŸ˜›
Kat Scrappiness is a Super Sponsor at the Coffee Lover Blog Hop and as a Design Team member I just had to join πŸ™‚ My project is featuring three of here amazing sequin mixes. Can you spot all of them? At the end of my blog you will also find a coupon code for her store.

Step 1I started by painting my tag with Mowed Lawn, Peeled Paint and Walnut Stain. I find it’s easiest to use my fingers and just smear it around. To have a focus point, I added black Gelato around the edges. Now I stamped the Tim Holtz coffee mug, cut it out and colored it with N4, N6 and 100 Copics. I cut a slit into the coffee mug to thread some lace through it (that’s my whipped cream). Now adhered some leftover bird dies onto the mug. For one, I wanted to cover some of the numbers from the stamp and second, I wanted to add a little interest to the mug.
Step 2I also grabbed some of the leaves that I rusted a few days ago (you might have seen that on my Instagram) to layer them behind the cup. As you can see, I went for a fall theme with my tag πŸ˜‰

I wrapped two washi tapes around the bottom of the tag and adhered the leaves on top. Now I adhered the cup itself. While all this was drying, I grabbed my Fuse Tool and created a little shaker tag. Before closing it, I filled it with the Autumn Harvest Mix and the Espresso Flowers. I needed a hole for that shaker tag, so I punched one with my crop-a-dile and sealed it with one of the eyelets. After I combined the two tags I still felt that something was missing. That’s why I added just a few Cinnamon Swirl sequins to the lace. But still, something bothered me. And then it hit me. The mug didn’t look like it belonged there. I remembered that I had some Crackle Paint left, so I added a lot to the mug and let it dry over night. Now it looked like one cohesive piece and the crackles work perfectly with the grungy background and the colors of the sequins.

If you would like to order some of Kat’s amazing sequins or other things from her store, you can use the coupon code FALLCOFFEEHOPKS between the 23rd to 30th and you’ll get 10% off entire order. Woohoo πŸ™‚
