So Suzy Stamps April Release – Love is All Around

So Suzy Stamps April Release

We have another celebration, woohoo!!! So Suzy Stamps is now 3 years old. It’s already able to walk, spoke its first word and left the first Crayon marks on our walls. What an amazing time we have. As part of our birthday celebrations we want to introduce you to the new release. And there is something very special about it. Our very own Olesya designed them. Isn’t she amazing? So much talent, wow. That’s why I’m extra excited to show you what I created with them. I started by stamping the flower several times onto water color paper. I knew …

Video: My First Galaxy Sky Background with So Suzy Stamps

Galaxy Sky Background with So Suzy Stamps

I got inspired by Justine’s amazing astronaut card and her galaxy sky background. I have never tried it before, because I thought it’s too difficult. After watching her creating this cute card, I just had to try it and I’m glad I did. It’s not the prettiest galaxy sky background in the world, but I tried something new 😀 I also let the camera run while inking everything. Enjoy! What do you think about the Nuvo embossing powder? Is that neat or what? 🙂 Don’t forget that So Suzy is celebrating her birthday. That means you get special treatment this …

Throw on a Crown for Snark Madness

So Suzy Stamps on a wood panel Close Up

Hello, is it me you’re looking for *sing* 😛 LMAO, I love my snarky mood swings. Welcome to Snark Madness, aka a new snarky project, this time a mixed media piece on a wood panel. I was at a local art store not too long ago and picked some of them up. I started by applying two layers of clear Gesso to the wood panel and picking my colors for the background. I decided to go with a yellow, orange, red theme, so I applied a thick layer of yellow paint first. While the yellow was still somewhat wet, I …

How to use Distress Oxide and So Suzy Stamps in your Art Journal

So Suzy Stamps art journal page made with Distress Oxide and a little imagination

Oooooh, I had a little fun with Distress Oxide and So Suzy Stamps this weekend. I was in a play mood and came up with this colorful Spring page. After I picked up the Distress Oxides in my local craft store, I just had to break them open and create some beautiful backgrounds. I smooshed the ink onto my craft mat, spritzed some water on top and then dragged several tags through it. After they were dry, I repeated these steps till I had the texture I wanted. When I was done with the tags, I spotted my art journal …

Stenciling with So Suzy Stamps – A March Project

Stenciling with So Suzy Stamps Close Up

We decided to make March stencil month with So Suzy Stamps, so the entire design team created cards using stencils. And they are stunning! My card is a 1-layer card. I started by stamping the roses onto some scrap paper and fuzzy cut them out (well, I used my scan’n’cut). Then I stamped the Rose trio using my Misti, masked that part off and stamped the single rose on top. Now I used both masks to cover the stamped roses and added some Abandoned Coral Distress Ink through the brick wall stencil using my Clarity Stencil Brushes. Because I had …

How to Create a Set of Snarky ATC Cards

Snarky ATC cards with So Suzy Stamps

I was on a shopping spree the other day and bought several snarky stamps over at So Suzy Stamps. When they arrived I was giggling my butt of and tried to come up with some cards. But my mojo was kind of non existing last week, so nothing happened. Till I looked at one of my larger art journals. The size of one page is perfect for 9 snarky ATC cards. So I started by stamping onto the page and adding some old book snippets. After a layer of Gesso, I added some color with Gelatos and heavy body acrylic …

Video: Snarky Anti-Valentine’s Card with So Suzy Stamps

Anti Valentines Card with So Suzy Stamps, Distress Inks and Distress Oxide

Happy Valentine’s Day! Are you celebrating or do you think that it is one of those unnecessary days? Fair warning upfront: I’m not huge on Valentine’s day, so I decided to create a rather snarky anti-valentine’s card. I found a great sentiment at So Suzy Stamps that fit to my “love” for Valentine’s day, so I grabbed my masking paper and Distress Inks and started blending some ink. A video might be nicer for you to see the process, so I created one vs writing a long love letter 😉 Again, I understand that not everyone shares my humor. I …
