Snarkfest 2017 – Second Chance Art Journal Page

Snarkfest Art Journal

Man, I haven’t shared an art journal page in forever. Shame on me! Good that we have Snarkfest going on in the Snarky Stamper Facebook group and I was in the mood for some fun. And fun always includes smearing around with paints and a snarky sentiment. In this case the “Second Chance” sentiment from So Suzy Stamps πŸ˜‰ I started by painting three different Dylusions paint onto the background, Postbox Red, Squeezed Orange, Pure Sunshine. The easiest and fastest way is by using a baby wipe and to avoid fuzzy paper with this technique, it’s best to Gesso it …

Sailing Away to a Land Full of Dreams

I haven’t posted a canvas in long while. That’s because it always take some a while to finish one, so I kind of need to kick myself in the butt to start one πŸ˜› Today I wanted to share my “Sailing Away” canvas that I just finished. I remembered to take some pictures, but it doesn’t cover the entire process, so I try to describe the steps as good as I can. I started by spraying some Dylusions inks onto the canvas, followed by smearing Dylusions paints on top. The paints are not opaque, so the pattern of the inks …

Craftstorefinder.com – A New Website to Find Local Craft Stores

craftstorefinder

Hi and welcome πŸ™‚ Today I wanted to share a new project with you, my new website www.craftstorefinder.com As you might know, I started crafting about two years ago. One of the first things I did was “googling” for craft stores in my area, but I had a hard time finding them. Most of the time, the only thing I was able to find, was a note of them closing down. Even after searching through Facebook groups and crafty forums, I still haven’t found a useful site that contains a listing of craft stores in a readable and searchable format. …

I couldn’t explain most decisions I …

How to Create Your Own Advents Calendar

Adventskalender

Welcome back to my blog! Today I have a totally different project for you, an advents calendar πŸ™‚ Growing up I had one every year and I insisted to get one even when I was already growing up. It’s a huge tradition in Germany and less known in the US. In case you don’t know what an advents calendar is, here is a short explanation. An advents calendar has 24 or 25 doors (depending on which day you celebrate Christmas) and every door has a number on it. Starting December 1st, you open the door with the number 1 and …

Hello everyone πŸ™‚ I have another Top 5 video for you: my top 5 craft supplies for art journaling. Woohoo! Number 2 – Mister Bottle Finding a good and inexpensive mister bottle wasn’t easy till I found this three pack on Amazon. I …

Spooky Halloween Art Journal Page

Spooky Halloween

Welcome back to my blog πŸ™‚ The last week was a little hectic at work (yay!!! It was way to boring before that πŸ˜› ), so I just had a little time to craft every evening. That was perfect for this page as several things needed to dry over night. It’s a little harder for me to describe how I created this spooky Halloween page. I tried a lot of things, sprayed some ink here and smeared some paint there and at the end, this is what it looked like. So, I’m sorry for the lack of instructions this time …
