Make a wish – How to a create quick and simple ATCs with Emerald Creek

Make a wish ATC with Emerald Creek

Hi everyone, I’m “celebrating” with the Emerald Creek embossing powder and stamps for the June topic “Celebration” πŸ™‚ I created a make a wish ATC using the fairy and dragon stamp, plus two of the new Baked Texture embossing powders. I’m in an ATC fever at the moment and just love to work on those small surfaces. In case you don’t know what an ATC is – it stands for Artist Trading Cards and they are 2.5 x 3.5 inches small. They are meant to be exchanged with other crafters – so if you would like to get one of …

At Emerald Creek is where the magic happens

At Emerald Creek is where the magic happens

Hi everyone and welcome to a new blog post for Emerald Creek. Today I’m sharing three tags that I made with some of my favorite β€œmagic” embossing powders. The theme over on the Emerald Creek blog is “Guy Things” but I’m not very good with a male theme. So I decided to go with “grungy” instead to make it a little easier for me πŸ˜‰ I started by adding a little paint to the background and then went straight to the focal point. For that I used a mix of Seth Apter stencils and Paper Artsy paints. To add more …

Yummy texture with Emerald Creek Baked Texture, Distress Oxide and monoprinting

Hi everyone, I had a lot of fun playing with the new Distress Oxide colors and the ranger Gel Plates. I experimented with the Oxides and how they act for mono printing. In addition, I finally played with the new Baked Texture embossing powders from Emerald Creek and Seth Apter again to create some yummy texture on my tags. You can see all the details in my video, how the ink behaves, how gorgeous the Baked Textures are and most of all, how much fun everyone can have with just playing around πŸ˜‰ I hope you enjoyed my little experiment …

Use your wings art journal page featuring Emerald Creek

Hi everyone, I’m back with a new project for Emerald Creek πŸ™‚ Today I created an art journal page using EC embossing powder, stamps and charms. Use your wings seemed to be a good quote for this one as I’m using the Cardinal stamp. I also used some StencilGirl stencils and Paper Artsy paints. But the best part is really the Charred Gold embossing powder that always leaves me in aaaw. But see for yourself: What do you think? Isn’t that embossing powder just unique? I always love how it melts πŸ™‚ Don’t forget to join the challenge over at …

Sparkling Christmas card using Emerald Creek supplies and digital images

Sparkling Christmas card using Emerald Creek supplies and digital images

Emerald Creek and Altered Pages have a fun collaboration at the moment and of course, I’m joining. The November theme is “unsung heroes” and I used the topic to create a sparkling Christmas card. For me the unsung hero is not a person, but a feeling. I think that “joy” is not valued enough, especially when we are all trying to get our errands done, trying to keep life together, etc. Joy is the feeling that keeps us going. So I used my joy for experimenting to create a sparkling Christmas card with Emerald Creek embossing powder, Altered Pages digital …

Winter Wonderland with Emerald Creek embossing powder

Winter Wonderland with Emerald Creek

New month, new challenge over at Emerald Creeks. This month’s challenge is “Canada the Beautiful” and I created a winter wonderland. Of course I could have used the obvious maple leaf, but I wanted to create a different version. That’s why I created a snow scene. I would love to see Canada in the winter. Unfortunately I have been up there, but I really want to go sometime. I like the winter and living in California and I’m missing the seasons sometimes. I imagine that the snow is white and puffy and it’s all quite. Forest scenes in the winter …

Emerald Creek embossing powder and Distress Oxide on a mixed media tag

I have some exciting news for you: I’m now part of the Emerald Creek design team πŸ˜€ I’m super excited about that! The first time I heard about Emerald Creek was at Creativation when I took a quick class at their booth. I was stoked and I just had to ask her for a guest design opportunity. Since then I joined her for two guest posts and when a spot opened up at the design team, Kim asked me to join her. And here I am πŸ™‚ The great thing is that you can benefit from this as well. Emerald …
