Happy Anniversary Joy Clair – Mail Art

Happy Anniversary Joy Clair

Happy Anniversary Joy Clair. 5 years is just amazing and I’m super excited to be guest designing for the big blog hop. We are a big group of Joy Clair enthusiasts that are sharing some amazing ideas. Definitely hop along and check out all these amazing projects. If you arrived from Betz’ blog – welcome! If this is your first stop, consider starting at the beginning 🙂 I was in the mood for something different. Not a card, but mail art. Mainly, that was inspired by one of the stamp sets that Joy Clair generously sent me for this event…

Guest designing for Rita Barakat

Guest designing for Rita

Oh my gosh, I can’t even. I’m so excited about this post and have been for a couple of weeks. Rita asked me if I would want to guest design for her and of course, I had to say yes! If you have been following me for a while you’ve seen me using her embossing powder and ArtFoamies and I love them. For this post, she sent me a special package with three stencils. All of those stencils have a face pattern and I’m not going to lie… I had a short “yikes” moment. Not because of the designs (I…

Deflecto Guest Post for Valentine’s Day

Deflecto Guest Post for Valentine's Day

I’m super excited to be guest designing for Deflecto again. February is all about Valentine’s Day and I created a very pink frame insert. I’m not a “pink person”, but I enjoyed creating this insert for the Craft Frame in pink. The good thing about is that a portion of Deflecto’s pink product proceeds go to the fight against breast cancer. To see how everything came together, check out my video: I used a candle to lighten up the negatives, but you could use a light string or one of those LED lights. It’s a really neat effect when the…

StencilClub Voices – Creating Mixed Media Greeting Cards with Ken Oliver

StencilClub Voices Mixed Media Greeting Cards

Wow, I’m in aaaw with Kristie’s stencils for the February StencilClub. Can you already see all the gorgeous backgrounds that you can create with them? I have done so many art journal pages lately that I thought this time I’m creating mixed media greeting cards with Kristie’s stencils as the focal background (lol). But which medium to chose? After staring at my supplies for a while, I decided to use Ken Oliver Color Burst. I put the 9×12 stencil on top of some watercolor paper and then carefully sprinkled the powder all over it. The stencil was big enough to…

Oh man, I want to jump around the house all day. StencilGirl is such an amazing company and I’m so honored that they asked me to guest design for them. StencilGirl Guest Post For this project, I picked stencils from Sue Pelletier, Laurie Mika and Nathalie Kalbach. You can find the entire project description over at the StencilGirl blog. How to create a starry night light using Deflecto frames

Deflecto starry night light

Hello everyone and surprise 🙂 I’m guest designing for Deflecto Crafts throughout the months of September and October and I couldn’t wait to share my first project with you! I love their craft storage! It’s unique and genius! Have you seen the Stackable Caddy Organizer (or here on the Deflecto page) with the Stack’n Go Caddy Wheel Base? I have 4 of the organizer and just got the Wheel Base!!! Love it. In case you missed the video from the January Creativation, I won one of the Caddy Organizer at their booth 😛 Anyway, today I’m sharing a project using…

Father's Day wood panel with Emerald Creek

Hi everyone, I’m so excited about this post. Kim, the owner of Emerald Creek, contacted me and asked me if I want to create another project using her unique stamps and incredible embossing powders. Well, heck yeah! So here I am, sharing a Father’s Day wood panel with you. I used several embossing powders to create all the texture and love how it turned out. These powders always surprise me when they melt. But instead of describing the effects, I prepared a video for you showing all the details. Be prepared for some jaw dropping moments 😛 For all you…

Video: Fun with Strawberry Jude Stamps Awesome Memes Stamp and Copic Coloring

Strawberry Jude Stamps Awesome Memes with Copic coloring

Hello and welcome back to a whole lot more awesomeness. These two tea-sipping ladies from the Awesome Memes stamp set still crack me up and every time I look at them I have to giggle, lol. This time I wanted to use both of them, so I created a card with both facing each other and a fun dialog between them. I wanted the coloring to be simple and elegant, so I decided to use Copic markers. You can follow me along in my latest video: As you can see my coloring is rather simple. I’m not one of those…

Video: Awesomeness Coming Your Way with Strawberry Jude Stamps

Awesomeness coming your way with Strawberry Jude Stamps

I just love fun and snarky stamps, so how could I say no to this awesome new stamp from Strawberry Jude stamps?! These ladies sipping their tea and all the awesomeness that comes with it is just, well, awesome 😀 I was in the mood for some fuzzy cutting (can you believe that?) and decided to create a paper doll with the new set. I had some Julie Nutting paper laying around, so it was easy to match the patterns and colors. You can follow the process in my video: I hope you enjoyed my quick video and feel snarky…

How to Create a Water Colored Bookmark with Strawberry Jude Stamps and Jane Davenport

Bookmarks using Strawberry Jude Stamps and Jane Davenport water colors

Welcome to my last guest project for Strawberry Jude Stamps. Today I decided to create a water colored bookmark using the gorgeous “Hello Sunflower” set and some new to me Jane Davenport water colors. I thought it might be more fun to watch me coloring this gorgeous sunflower than reading through a long description 😛 So here it is. What do you think about my water colored bookmark? I thought the Jane Davenport water colors are really bright (hence the name 😛 ). I love that the box is so small, so you can take it with you and not…
