New Release Nathalie Kalbach and Rubbermoon stamps

New Release Nathalie Kalbach and Rubbermoon

Look at those gorgeous stamps and aren’t these little ones just so cute? Nathalie Kalbach released a couple new red rubber stamps through Rubbermoon and they are perfect for the upcoming Christmas season or just for anything when you like circles 😉 I prepared a few samples for you. Starting with just a few of them stamped onto a white piece of cardstock. The big ornament was stamped using two ink pads to create an ombre effect. Then just a little sparkle, some doodled strings and my first Christmas card for the year is done, woohoo! Working in similar colors …

Take me by the hand art journal page with Visible Image

Take me by the hand art journal page with Visible Image

I’m back with a new art journal page using stamps and stencils from Visible Image. You know what I like about them? All of these sets can be used interchangeably – you can combine them in so many ways. Talk about versatility! For today’s page I’m using a mix of old and new stencils and one of my favorite sentiment stamps. It all started with the background. Sometimes I have difficulties starting with a page. What colors to choose, what technique to use, how to apply the paint? For those moments, I have the perfect way of overcoming the “fear …

Beach Scene with Emerald Creek

Emerald Creek July Theme Beach

Hi and welcome to a new post for Emerald Creek. This month’s challenge theme is “beach” so I created a little, nautical canvas. It all started with the background for the canvas. I simply put a few drops of paint all over it – all in different shades of blue – and then spread them from left to right. To add some texture, I blended Versamark ink through the Retreat Circles stencil and embossed it with Deep Sea Baked Texture. The paint was not entirely dry, so it left some more stripes of embossing powder when I sprinkled it all …

Nathalie Studio Creative Squad post – all shapes and sizes

All Shapes and Sizes with Nathalie Kalbach

I’m super excited about this month’s theme All Shapes and Sizes. I love shapes and it’s so much fun to incorporate them in my art journal. If I would have to pick a favorite shape, it’s definitely circles. I constantly draw circles and add bubbles to my projects. That’s why I decided to emphasize them even more for this theme. I started by picking some random mono prints. I have a huge stack of them and thought that they are perfect for adding random marks and then cutting them into shapes. In addition, I selected a few Art Foamies foam …

We always think we’ll have time with Visible Image

we always think we'll have time with visible image

Yay, I’m back with a new project for Visible Image. I’m super excited to be finally working with some of the new stencils and the somewhere in time stamp. Unfortunately my camera didn’t record, so there won’t be a video for this art journal page. I’m sorry 🙁 I started by spreading just a little bit of Dylusions paint onto my art journal page. I just wanted to cover the middle of the page a little. Then I added the same shades first through the “Collision” stencil and then through the “Count me in” stencil. I liked the background stamp …

What is he protecting? Let’s decorate a little box with Paper Artsy.

Let's decorate a little box with Paper Artsy.

Hi everyone and welcome to a new project from me using PaperArtsy stamps and paints. This theme was called “Enshrined” and I decided to decorate a little box for this 3D printed octopus. I also had a little wooden box laying around for a while, so I decided to create a lair for him. I used a variety of blue shaded fresco Finish paints to create an ocean scene and added a bunch of texture using Seth Apter’s stamps ESA07 and ESA08. Then I added a few fish that I cut out from a napkin, added his treasures to the …

How to use embossing powder for card backgrounds

Hi everyone, I’m super excited to be hopping with Catherine Pooler and WOW today. In my post, I’m sharing how to use embossing powder for card backgrounds. Don’t forget to hop along with us and leave a comment on every blog. Catherine Pooler and WOW are choosing one random winner each 😀 But on to my cards. I started with one card and then couldn’t stop and ended up creating 4 for this hop. All 4 are using embossing powders for the card background and all are made with a different technique. To make it a little easier, I created …

Sunny with a Side of Sparkle Blog Hop Day 3

I told you that I love this release, right? That’s why I am joining a second day of the blog hop, I just couldn’t get enough of it 😀 Today I’m playing with the “Starlights” stamp set, some embossing powders and the Black Jack ink. These star stamps are so versatile and the different designs are just beautiful. And it was so much fun to play with them. I created a quick video for you, so you can see what I did for these two: I think that the grey from the Black Jack ink looks really nice together with …
