Endless Summer Cheerful Mixed Media Cards for N*Studio

Endless Summer Mixed Media Cards for Nathalie Kalbach

Hi everyone! Summer has started, it’s official. We are having the first days with over 100 degrees in California, so I spend a lot of time in my pool. When we bought our house, we fell in love with the pool. It is plastered with a variety of blue tiles which shine amazing when the sun hits them. The colors of the pool were my inspiration for this month’s theme – Endless Summer. But as always, I started with those colors and then couldn’t stop. But let’s start at the beginning. I decided to create a few greeting cards. I…

How to create a disapearing Cheshire Cat with Visible Image

Hello and welcome to a new blog post for Visible Image. This time I’m excited to share the new Alice in Wonderland sets with you, especially the Cheshire Cat. I LOVE Alice in Wonderland! It’s one of my all time favorite stories. When I saw the cat stamp I knew that I wanted to create the disappearing Cheshire Cat and just had to come up with a plan on how to do that. In my video I’m sharing my plan and the slightly wonky execution. At least at first, it got better later on 😉 What do you think? Did…

New Release Nathalie Kalbach and Rubbermoon

Look at those gorgeous stamps and aren’t these little ones just so cute? Nathalie Kalbach released a couple new red rubber stamps through Rubbermoon and they are perfect for the upcoming Christmas season or just for anything when you like circles 😉 I prepared a few samples for you. Starting with just a few of them stamped onto a white piece of cardstock. The big ornament was stamped using two ink pads to create an ombre effect. Then just a little sparkle, some doodled strings and my first Christmas card for the year is done, woohoo! Working in similar colors…

Just for fun blog hop – time to create some clean and simple cards

Just for fun blog hop

Welcome to a blog hop, just for fun. Ingrid pulled together a few crafters and asked us to create with “new” craft supplies, the ones that have been laying around for a while now, unused. And you know what I haven’t done in a while? Creating clean and simple cards, without any mess. Ok, there was a little mess involved when I inked up a background, but way less than normally 😉 I bought some of the stamps from Finders Keepers a while back. I discovered them at Creativation and fell in love with the very different designs and sentiments.…

These star stamps are so versatile and the different designs are just beautiful. And it was so much fun to play with them. I created a quick video for you, so you can see what I did for these two: I think that the grey from the Black Jack ink looks really nice together with…

Sunny with a Side of Sparkle Blog Hop Day 1

Oh my, have you seen the new release from Catherine Pooler? I’m so excited about it. So many geometric shapes: stars, diamonds and a really neat stencil. And what do you do with stencils? You might think “ink blending” (which is not wrong), but today I’m thinking about texture paste – woohoo 😉 I haven’t played with texture paste in way too long and this stencil was asking me to get some out and mess around with it. In my video I will share a super easy way of coloring texture paste and then using it for a fun background.…

How to create mixed media style girl and boy baby shower cards

baby shower cards

Hi everyone, welcome to a new tutorial. Today: baby shower cards (or for new babies in general). A friend of mine had her baby shower last weekend, so I created two cards for her – she is expecting twins. I channeled my best mixed media mojo and came up with these two: What do you think? I have never really created a card for a baby shower before. Does that work? 😉 Supplies Used These are all the supplies I used. When possible, I’m using affiliate links, which means I earn a small commission if you’re using the below links…
