Video: May the Forest Be With You Card Set

May the Forest be With You

I was in the mood for some inky mess again, but didn’t want to create another card with the color bursts or using the Distress Ink resist technique. That’s why I decided to grab some sprays and color my desk a little 🙂 I realized that I haven’t used the current MFT “Forest Friends” stamp set yet, but I really like the sentiment May the Forest be with you. (Yes, I like Star Wars a little 🙂 ). So I wanted to make sure that I use the stamps for this cute set of cards. You can find all the …

You Are Awesome – Quick Card Made From Scraps

Close Up

I just wanted to share a quick card with you that came together based on some scraps that were laying around on my desk. The colorful stripe is a left over from a project I will share with you soon (hint: it is an artjournal page using some June release stamps from So Suzy 😉 ). I used way to much acrylic paint on said project so I grabbed some scraps and dunked them into the acrylic paint that was left on my craft mat. This stripe is one of the pieces and was now dry. So I cut it …

Two Yous From the Stamp of Approval Box

You SoA

A few weeks ago I bought the latest Stamp of Approval box and realized that I haven’t played a whole lot with it so far. That had to change! So I grabbed the stamps and dies and created two simple and fun cards. You One The first card is rather simple. I used the geo builder set (the reason why I wanted to have the box in the first place) and stamped the two arrow images in different blue tones. While switching the inks, I also switched the stamp. I started with Simon Says Lake Shores, switched to High Dive, …

Review Art-C Metallic Paint

Look what I found. I was at Micheal’s the other day, just wanted to look around (yeah, sure…), and stumbled over these cute looking paints from Art-C. Let’s Get Messy With Ken Oliver Color Bursts

Ken Oliver Color Burst

I know that the Ken Oliver color bursts are not new and that they are on the market for quite some time now. In fact, he recently released some new colors and effects. But today I grabbed the very first edition and gave them some love 😉 If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you might have seen my card with the embossed flowers and the Ken Oliver color bursts. Similar to that card, I wanted to create a few backgrounds and decorate them a little differently this time. I started with covering my work surface in paper towels …

Ink Resist

Maybe you have seen me posting some cards on Instagram or Facebook lately that were highlighting the ink resist technique. Because I really like this technique, I thought that I show you how I use Distress inks to create cards like that. Video: How To Create A Card Using The Ink Resist Technique I tried to be as thorough as possible without having a 30 minute video afterwards. I talk a lot, but I also sped parts of the video up to not bore you to death 😉 Supplies Used So Suzy Stamps – Wispy Chrysanthemum Outline Stampendous – Daisy …

Fairies Are The Best Companions

Fairies

Today I wanted to share a quick fairies card with you highlighting the ink resist technique (again). I know, I’m kind of obsessed with it lately, but it’s just so awesome! I started with stamping the Wispy Chrysanthemum Outline from So Suzy Stamps with Versamark ink and heat embossing it with clear embossing powder. After letting it cool down for a second, I took Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio to create the blended ink resist effect. First I was thinking to pop it up on some black card stock, but then I felt like I needed to change …

Using The Gina K Butterfly From The Stamp of Approval

Gina K Butterfly

You might have seen my Stamp of Approval unboxing video that I uploaded at the weekend. And if you’ve seen it, you might remember that I said something about the Gina K Butterfly stamp set not being my favorite in the collection (not that it is bad, just something I wouldn’t have bought for myself). But I’m not a fan of buying a huge box and then not using half of the content. So I decided to use only that stamp set for today’s cards. I started with stamping the big butterfly using Versamark ink and heat embossing it with …

Shimmerz Paints Texturez & Dazzlerz

If you follow me on Instagram you have probably seen that I bought some of the Shimmerz Paints texture pastes called Dazzlerz and Texturez. For me they are a new company and I wanted to share my first impression with you. To show how they compare to Dreamweaver texture paste, I created the following video. Video Review of Shimmerz Paints Texturez & Dazzlerz Pastes For the review I used tags created with the Tim Holtz tag die, Tim Holtz and Dylusions stencils, and a regular palette knife. The video is a little longer. If you just want to see the …
