Snark alert with So Suzy Stamps

Snarky cards with So Suzy Stamps

Snark alert! I haven’t used my snarky stamps for a while (way too long if you ask me), so I directly created three snarky cards πŸ˜€ A few days ago I found a pretty paper pack at a garage sale. I love combining patterned paper to create cards, especially snarky ones. I started with cutting a few of the papers. Then I picked the ones that I wanted to be at the top and stamped the sentiment using my Misti. For this card, I cut a little banner to stamp one part of the sentiment onto it. Then I stamped …

How to create a mixed media card with So Suzy Stamps and Finnabair

Mixed Media Card with So Suzy Stamps, Ken Oliver Color Burst and Finnabair embellishments

You might have seen that I started teaching classes in my local craft store Scrapbooking Forever and I prefer to teach techniques. I think showing how to use a product in different ways is more interesting than one project using tons of products and learning just one technique per product. While preparing one of my classes this is one of the cards I created as an example. I like mixed media, so I created a mixed media card with So Suzy Stamps, Ken Oliver Color Burst and Finnabair embellishments. All supplies used are listed at the end of the page. …

Also I love to watch the color move inside the water πŸ˜› To share my love of water coloring, here is the project video for my card. Enjoy and let me know what you think πŸ™‚ Here are a few close up pictures. Click on the picture to enlarge it. Thanks for stopping …

Ink Blending with the Misti and So Suzy Stamps Ink Bites

Ink Blending with the Misti and So Suzy Stamps Ink Bites

I’m up at the So Suzy blog today with something that I tried for the first time. Well, not really for the first time. I saw this technique for ink blending with the Misti at Creativation and I tried it using my Distress Inks, but today I wanted to give it a shot using the So Suzy Stamps Ink Bites. So I prepared my Mini Misti and inked up small areas of the Butterfly Tree stamp. Because the magnets hold the paper at the same place, I was able to ink one area at a time and stamp exactly at …

Strawberry Jude Stamps Awesome Memes with Copic coloring

Hello and welcome back to a whole lot more awesomeness. These two tea-sipping ladies from the Awesome Memes stamp set still crack me up and every time I look at them I have to giggle, lol. This time I wanted to use both of them, so I created a card with both facing each other and a fun dialog between them. I wanted the coloring to be simple and elegant, so I decided to use Copic markers. You can follow me along in my latest video: As you can see my coloring is rather simple. I’m not one of those …

Awesomeness coming your way with Strawberry Jude Stamps

I just love fun and snarky stamps, so how could I say no to this awesome new stamp from Strawberry Jude stamps?! These ladies sipping their tea and all the awesomeness that comes with it is just, well, awesome πŸ˜€ I was in the mood for some fuzzy cutting (can you believe that?) and decided to create a paper doll with the new set. I had some Julie Nutting paper laying around, so it was easy to match the patterns and colors. You can follow the process in my video: I hope you enjoyed my quick video and feel snarky …

A whole bunch of foolishness

Foolishness

Post number 3 for today πŸ˜› At Creativation I met the a bunch of the old and new So Suzy Stamps design team. We had a blast during these 5 days. One of the ladies, Kymona, always used to say “Foolishness” to our joking around. It was hilarious. Suzanne organized a stamp matching her little verbal outburst and we wanted to surprise her with a few cards using it. You can find the others here: Justine Suzanne Jennifer My “foolishness” is mixing some stamps together that I usually wouldn’t. Some elegant ones and some cute ones. I started with stamping …

How to create leaves on vellum with So Suzy Stamps

So Suzy Stamps Leaves on vellum

I’m still in aaaw with Olesya’s amazing designs. She’s so creative and it’s great to be able to play with her art. Today I used her Open Leaves design to create leaves on vellum. I started by blending Distress Inks onto the background. Normally I use orange and red colors, but this time I forced myself to a different combination πŸ˜› I used the Ranger blending tool and went back and forth with the different colors till they looked nice and blended. Then I die cut the piece with a stitched rectangle die and splattered some water and some sparkle …

AAA Cards Challenge #89 Bright and Beautiful Sponsored by So Suzy Stamps

AAA card challenge sponsored by So Suzy Stamps

So Suzy Stamps is sponsoring this weeks AAA card challenge. How exciting πŸ™‚ There’s just one problem – I don’t do CAS style cards πŸ˜› The good thing is that the new So Suzy Stamps release is so pretty even without any extras, so it was rather easy for me to overcome my little problem. I started by inking up the first swan with the Tiki Torch and Tutti Frutti, both Catherine Pooler inks. I wanted to create an ombre effect, so I inked up one half with one color and the other half with the other. I overlapped them …

Water Lilies in Water Colors with So Suzy Stamps

So Suzy Stamps water lilies in water colors

Welcome to a new blog post for So Suzy Stamps. The new stamps were just released and I’m in love! Did you know that some of them were designed by our very own Olesya? Amazing, isn’t it? Today I was in the mood for some water coloring, again πŸ˜› These stamps just look so stunning in water colors. I started by coloring the blossom stamp with my Zig markers. After the stamp was really saturated I stamped directly onto the water color paper. Because the Zig markers are water soluble, I was able to move the color with a water …
