Doing my Thing – Thank You Cards with n*studio

Doing my Thing - Ink Smooshed Thank You Cards with n*studio

Aren’t we all good in “doin’ our thing”? Perfect theme, if you ask me. The problem was that I couldn’t decide which of my favorite techniques to show you… mono printing, layering, something snarky…? So many options. At the end, I decided to go with a variety of techniques using watercolor inks (Distress Inks, etc). I created a few “Thank You” cards as I needed them anyway 😉 In addition, I love to create videos, so here is my “doin’ my thing” video for the thank you cards that I made. Nathalie’s foam and rubber stamps were perfect to add …

My Cup of Tea – Foiling techniques with PaperArtsy

My Cup of Tea - Foiling techniques with PaperArtsy

What an exciting technique for the PaperArtsy blog – foiling. I have followed this trend for a while now, always thinking about how I could use this as part of my art journals or mixed media projects. I enjoy the look of a foiled background or when the foil is rubbed onto nearly dry alcohol ink. For this post, I wanted to use something that I haven’t used in a while though – foil flakes. That’s the good thing about renovating your house. You find items that you haven’t used in a while. I knew immediately, that I wanted to …

Sweet cocoa with Emerald Creek aroma embossing powder

Emerald Creek Sweet Coffee

Hi everyone and welcome to a new project for Emerald Creek. This time I decided to create something using the Aroma embossing powder. They are called Aroma because they smell like whatever the name is, for example the Chocolate Dream that I’m using smells like Swiss hot chocolate, yummy. So, I had to pair it with the new Unwind stamp set from Pam Bray to create a sweet cocoa card. During the video I’m showing you how to create a fall colored background using water color powders and how to color an image using embossing powder. Both super fun and …

Simon Says Stamps Stamptember

Hi and welcome to Stamptember – woohoo! This is the first time I’m celebrating with Simon Says and I’m super excited to share two cards with you that I made with one of their new background stamps. For those of you who are coming from the big party over on the Simon Says blog – welcome 🙂 – my name is Josefine and I’m a mixed media artist who loves the messy way of crafting.
