paper layering experiment with Hero Arts layering squirrel

Have you seen the latest Markerpop challenge already? They are hosting a fall video contest and I’m joining with this card πŸ™‚ While reorganizing my craft room I found a really pretty fall themed paper set and I wanted to create a card with it. So I looked through Pinterest and found some inspiration while looking at cards that use the paper for layering, so I started my paper layering experiment. I chose the Hero Arts squirrel stamp set for the focal point and then the fun began. Follow me along while I try to figure out how to layer …

Simple Christmas card with Distress Oxide and So Suzy Stamps

Welcome to a new design team inspiration over at the So Suzy Stamps blog. The team prepared some amazing cards using the latest Christmas release. But from the beginning… It took me a few tries to figure out how to color this Poinsettia without ruining the white lines from the embossing powder. A drawing from a children’s book with Strawberry Jude Stamps

Strawberry Jude Stamps dragonA sketch from a childrens book

Look at this cute dragon. This one of the cutest dragon stamp sets I’ve seen πŸ˜› For this guest design team post I colored the dragon using my Prismacolor pencils and it ended up looking like a drawing from a children’s book – totally unintentional. I wanted to create some kind of lair for the dragon, so I stamped some stalactites. Masking paper helped me stamping several dimensions. I did the same for the scattering of jewels. Then I covered some of the jewels with masking paper and added the sleeping dragon behind it. Before I started coloring, I wanted …

Layered Halloween cards using spooky So Suzy Stamps

Layered Halloween cards using spooky So Suzy Stamps
