How to Create a Water Colored Bookmark with Strawberry Jude Stamps and Jane Davenport

Bookmarks using Strawberry Jude Stamps and Jane Davenport water colors

Welcome to my last guest project for Strawberry Jude Stamps. Today I decided to create a water colored bookmark using the gorgeous “Hello Sunflower” set and some new to me Jane Davenport water colors. I thought it might be more fun to watch me coloring this gorgeous sunflower than reading through a long description πŸ˜› So here it is. What do you think about my water colored bookmark? I thought the Jane Davenport water colors are really bright (hence the name πŸ˜› ). I love that the box is so small, so you can take it with you and not …

Cas-ual Friday stamps with Lindy's and Ken Oliver water color powders

Wow, time flies at the moment. But here I am again with a card using some nearly forgotten stamps from the Stamp of Approval collection and my beloved water color powders. New to me are the Lindy’s magicals that I saw at CHA. Today I’m sharing one of my favorite techniques for creating backgrounds with you. I always think it’s easier to follow a video, plus I haven’t uploaded in in two weeks… (how could I?!) So I bet you’ll enjoy following me along while I’m heat embossing these cas-ual Friday stamps and adding a splash of water color powder …

Video: How to Use a Single Sunflower as a Focal Point with Strawberry Jude Stamps

Sunflower growing on a wall

Ooooh, I can’t even. This gorgeous sunflower was just released by Strawberry Jude Stamps and I had to use the sunflower as a focal point on my card. So I grabbed my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and started coloring the sunflower. Now I just had to find the perfect background, which I found with the new BoBunny paper “Life in Color”. I created this video tutorial for you to show you how I created my card. I hope you enjoyed my quick and simple card using this beautiful sunflower stamp from Strawberry Jude Stamps. The design team created …

Unity and So Suzy Stamps in watercolors

Squeeel!!! This week keeps getting better and better πŸ˜€ It started with birthday celebrations for my husband, later my guest post for FabScraps and now this, a guest post for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers for the Green with Envy challenge πŸ˜€ I was crowned Queen of Snark during challenge #77 (finally someone realized that I’m a queen, LOL) and now I’m allowed to join this challenge as a guest designer. Woot, woot. When Sister Lindsey told me about the Green with Envy theme for this challenge I had to pull out my mermaid stamp from Unity. Because, who is …

Stenciling with So Suzy Stamps – A March Project

Stenciling with So Suzy Stamps Close Up

We decided to make March stencil month with So Suzy Stamps, so the entire design team created cards using stencils. And they are stunning! My card is a 1-layer card. I started by stamping the roses onto some scrap paper and fuzzy cut them out (well, I used my scan’n’cut). Then I stamped the Rose trio using my Misti, masked that part off and stamped the single rose on top. Now I used both masks to cover the stamped roses and added some Abandoned Coral Distress Ink through the brick wall stencil using my Clarity Stencil Brushes. Because I had …

Two “Simple” Cards – Guest Designing for Emerald Creek

Two simple cards with Emerald Creek and Ken Oliver Color Bursts

I’m so excited to be guest designing for Emerald Creek today and I’m so grateful for this opportunity. I met Kim at Creativation and after talking a bit I just asked her, if I could create a card with one of her amazing stamps. You should definitely take a look at her store, she has some super unique stamps, embossing powders and little gems. Because I liked the β€œsimple” stamp from Kelly Klapstein so much, I decided to create two cards with it. I just love that font and as you might know, I’m not a “simple” card kind a …

Hi and welcome back to another card using Strawberry Jude Stamps. This time I wanted to show you how you can use Christmas stamps all year long. (No worries, I …

What a Swirly Heart – Joining the So Suzy Stamps Special

I’m not a romantic girl, you might know that by now πŸ˜› But this swirly heart got me. So I wanted to create a card that is worth a So Suzy special. I was thinking back and forth about which technique would be best for this gorgeous stamp. And then it hit me – something simple with a little mess πŸ™‚ Before I start, just a quick note. Don’t forget to check out all the other cards made with the Swirly Heart stamp. I have a list with all the links at the bottom of this post. Normally when using …

Video: Snarky Anti-Valentine’s Card with So Suzy Stamps

Anti Valentines Card with So Suzy Stamps, Distress Inks and Distress Oxide

Happy Valentine’s Day! Are you celebrating or do you think that it is one of those unnecessary days? Fair warning upfront: I’m not huge on Valentine’s day, so I decided to create a rather snarky anti-valentine’s card. I found a great sentiment at So Suzy Stamps that fit to my “love” for Valentine’s day, so I grabbed my masking paper and Distress Inks and started blending some ink. A video might be nicer for you to see the process, so I created one vs writing a long love letter πŸ˜‰ Again, I understand that not everyone shares my humor. I …
