Best of Creativation 2017 – What is Hot in the Crafty World?

Hi everyone πŸ™‚

I’m back from Creativation 2017 with a lot new product information for you. Today I wanted to show you some highlights and I will demo some of the new products soon. I already shared a lot on my Facebook page (including videos) and on Instagram, so make sure you check them out. But for now let’s get started.

Prima Marketing

Finnabair introduced her new wax paste. This adds an awesome shimmer effect to your mixed media projects. I will get some soon and will demo them as soon as I have them. Besides that, the Prima booth was amazing – a lot of great art work.

Lawn Fawn

Lawn Fawn showed some cute new Spring and Easter stamps. Here is a quick overview (click on the image for a larger version):

I think Ranger had one of the most exciting releases. Tim Holtz’ new Distress Oxides are amazing! I explained them in a quick Facebook live video from the Ranger booth here (including all the other new Ranger releases and several photo bombs from Tim Holtz and Dyan Reaveley).

I got 4 of the Distress Oxides during my class and will upload a demo video at the weekend πŸ˜€

Mixed Media Brands

I was at the booth of Carabelle studio, Paper Artsy, Emerald Creeks, and so many more. These companies have some stunning stamps. I will share more with you as soon as my local craft store has their products in stock πŸ˜‰

Here are some samples using Carabelle studio stamps:

Also, I happened to be around when Alexis, Carabelle’s genius artist, borrowed a Memory Misti and created a stunning angel. The video of his demonstration is here and the angel is now hanging in my craft room.

What Else?

I was at the Fabscraps booth and their new paper and chipboards are gorgeous! I especially loved their Wildlife line which is about extinct and endangered animals. Also, 10% of every purchase go directly into the WCN (wildlife conservation network).

In general, I had a blast! I met so many amazing Designers and Artists, from Tim Holtz, Dina Wakely to Carolyn Dube, Catherine Pooler, Effie Cho and of course the majority of the So Suzy Team. I feel blessed to be part of such an inspiring community and feel encouraged to continue with what I’m doing. I learned a lot during classes and gathered several ideas for my blog. I can’t wait to share some amazing news with you, hopefully very soon. If you follow my Facebook page, you already have heard about one, I’m going to be teaching in my local craft store, Scrapbooking Forever πŸ˜€

But see for yourself, here are some more impressions from Creativation 2017 (click on the image to enlarge it).
