All The Glitter Birthday Card – CYCI Challenge #130

All the glitter 2

Hello everyone and welcome to another amazing challenge over at the Can You Case It! blog for challenge #130. This week it’s all about birthday card and mine had to glitter! I started with going through my stash of embossing powders and finding all the glitter ones. Surprisingly I have a few. I chose a golden one and matching to it a purple with gold splatters in it. Now I stamped the music note background onto my white card stock using Versamark ink. I found this background stamp at a garage sale and assume it’s the one from MFT. Then …

It Was Not My Lips You Kissed, But My Soul.

its not my lips you kissed

Hello, I’m up on the So Suzy Blog with a new Design Team card, woohoo! I created a similar card for the birthday of my Design Team friend Olesya last month and thought that you might enjoy it. This one doesn’t use a birthday greeting though, but the beautiful sentiment “It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul.” from Judy Garland. I started by heat embossing the Blowing Butterfly Tree. Now I blended four Distress ink colors over the entire card panel. I went back and forth with the colors a couple of times till I had the …

Celebrating July 4th with So Suzy Stamps

Celebrating July 4th with So Suzy Stamps 2

Today I’m celebrating July 4th with So Suzy Stamps. First I needed a patriotic background. To create that, I used Adirondack alcohol inks, in particular the set that you can get at Hobby Lobby or Michael’s. That has all the colors you need in them. I started with the red and dropped a little bit of ink onto the felt blending tool along with the blending solution. Now I carefully wiped it over the paper (also included in the set) and created the stripes. I left the top left corner empty to add the blue ink here. I also added …

To be able to blend the two images with water, I used a black Spectrum Aqua pen, colored the stamp …
