My clean up crazy-ness from yesterday might be your win 🙂 I finally went through my craft room and sorted all the goodies that I gathered throughout the last months and years. As much as I love all the stamps and designs, I can’t use them all. So, I’m looking for a loving home. All the items are either gently used …

Vintage ATCs – a guest post for PaperArtsy

Vintage ATCs - a guest post for PaperArtsy

Hi everyone and welcome to a very exciting post – I’m guest designing for PaperArtsy. Woohoo 🙂 The theme is vintage and I decided to create three vintage ATCs using the latest Seth Apter stamps and paints. As you know, I love PaperArtsy paints. The colors are amazing, the quality is great and they dry fast (which is very important for impatient me). If you’d like to see my guest post over at the Paper Artsy blog, click here. You’ll find more close up pictures and the written tutorial over there. You can also follow me along while watching my …

Catherine Pooler May Release Wild and Wonderful and Blog Hop Day 2

Catherine Pooler May Release Wild and Wonderful

Hi and welcome to Catherine’s May release “Wild and Wonderful” and our Day 2 blog hop. Did you arrive from Kelly’s blog? Then you’re at the right place. If not, you can start at the beginning. I always love to experiment with stamps and how they can be used for mixed media techniques. I had quite a few ideas for these stamps and today I’m sharing two of them. Both include a lot of ink smooshing for the background 😉 But see for yourself in my quick video: What do you think about mixed media cards like that? Are mine …

Gorjuss girl art journal series – Piracy

Gorjuss girl art journal series piracy

Welcome back to a new video of my Gorjuss Girls art journal series. This page uses No. 49 – Piracy. A cute little pirate girl. If you haven’t seen the first video yet, you can find it here. I wanted to create an ocean theme for the little pirate. For whatever reason, it ended up being an underwater scene, but I still think it fits 😉 This way I was able to use this really cool octopus stamp from Tim Holtz. Also, I tried the Marabu Art Crayons that I found at Joggles the other day. You can watch me …

At Emerald Creek is where the magic happens

At Emerald Creek is where the magic happens

Hi everyone and welcome to a new blog post for Emerald Creek. Today I’m sharing three tags that I made with some of my favorite “magic” embossing powders. The theme over on the Emerald Creek blog is “Guy Things” but I’m not very good with a male theme. So I decided to go with “grungy” instead to make it a little easier for me 😉 I started by adding a little paint to the background and then went straight to the focal point. For that I used a mix of Seth Apter stencils and Paper Artsy paints. To add more …

Layers of Love with n*studio

Layers of Love with n*studio

Layers, yummy layers. I enjoy working in layers and being able to see through every one of them and get a peek of what’s lying underneath the surface. For today’s project, I picked the Elephant Parade stencil as my focal point and I had an idea in my head of several patterns shining through the silhouette. So, I grabbed a 5×7” canvas and added a wash of Dina Wakley Lime color. Then I added the first layer using the Hamburg, Toledo and Art Deco stencil and three different shades of green. For the next layer, I picked a few different …

How to create an ombre ink effect with Visible Image and the Misti + blog hop

Visible Image and Misti Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to the incredible Visible Image and Misti blog hop! We prepared some amazing projects to show you how you can use the Misti to create truly amazing pieces of art. And what are the perfect images for this? Exactly, the Visible Image stamps with their huge variety of designs. I decided to create four cards, all using the same technique to create an ombre effect. The best stamps for this technique are silhouette images or stamps with larger solid areas. In addition to the stamps and the Misti you need some juicy ink and paper that can …

Leave your fear behind with Visible Image

Leave your fear behind with Visible Image

I’m up on the Visible Image Stamps blog again with this little gesso board. I really enjoy working with smaller surfaces and combine different textures with amazing stamp designs. The Leave your fear behind stamp set is one of my newer stamp sets from Visible Image and I’m in love with it! I combined a few “earthy” colors from the Dina Wakley paint set for the background and then just played around with the stamps and stencils. You can watch my process here: Do you like to experiment with your art or do you have a few go to techniques …

Celebrate Friends Stamp of Approval release day

Celebrate Friends Stamp of Approval release day

Finally, the Stamp of Approval release day is here. You can now get your own Celebrate Friends collection. Have you seen all the inspiration yet? There were several blog hops going on the last days and Catherine shared quite a few samples ;). Now it’s your turn. Make sure to grab a box before they are all gone, because otherwise it takes a while till you can buy the stamps in the regular shop. For the Stamp of Approval release day I created a coffee themed card – super simple, but fun. Do you think that it looks like Scandinavian …
