Hello everyone and welcome to another amazing challenge over at the Can You Case It! blog for challenge #130. This week it’s all about birthday card and mine had to glitter!
I started with going through my stash of embossing powders and finding all the glitter ones. Surprisingly I have a few. I chose a golden one and matching to it a purple with gold splatters in it. Now I stamped the music note background onto my white card stock using Versamark ink. I found this background stamp at a garage sale and assume it’s the one from MFT. Then I sprinkled the gold onto the top and the purple to the bottom. To fill in the gaps I used a star dust embossing powder with even more glitter in it.
The stamp and the banner are from the latest Stamp of Approval box. I die cut the banner from some vellum and stamped the sentiment again with Versamark. This time I embossed it with black sparkly embossing powder. Then I tried to figure out how to adhere the vellum to the card. At the end I decided to put some adhesive behind the big letters and that worked amazingly good. I just added white, shiny ribbon to the front and adhered it to my card base.
Here is the final card:
